In those capacities we are permitted to distribute mutual fund schemes and portfolio management services, and to provide incidental, basic information about them. We are not registered with SEBI as an Investment Adviser, Research Analyst, Portfolio Manager or Merchant Banker, and we do not carry on any of those activities. Where an assignment requires a merchant banking licence, it is executed by a SEBI-registered merchant banker from our panel.
We receive distribution commission from asset management companies on transactions executed through our AMFI Registration Number, and distribution fees from portfolio managers on assets referred under our APMI registration. Rates differ between schemes, strategies and categories. Details of what we earn are available on request and are also disclosed in the statements issued by the respective asset management company or portfolio manager.
